Originally from Anderson, Indiana, Debra has lived in San Diego since 2014 with her husband, Jon, their two sons, Christopher and Johnathan, and their small menagerie of pets: two dogs, a miniature pig, and a bearded dragon. Debra is an internal medicine/ hospital medicine physician holding a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Park University. She is passionate about ensuring equal access to healthcare and providing education about health related issues. In her spare time, Debra enjoys practicing Pilates, playing piano, and entertaining friends and family in her home.

Deward "Dewey" HouckCFO & Board Member
Being awarded the Bausch & Lomb science and a New York State Regents scholarship, Dewey completed his B.S. in Geology with a minor in mathematics from SUNY Fredonia. He continued his studies as a graduate student attending University of Michigan in geophysics. Later on, he joined the U.S. Navy and admitted into the Naval Nuclear Power Program. Retiring with the rank of Commander, he attended University of San Diego School of Law later on becoming the owner and primary attorney for California Estate Planning & Probate in Lakeside, California alongside being involved with two nonprofits: the Gillespie Field Eagles and Peer Support Network.

Megan is a Traumatic Brain Injury survivor from 2008 and a Zumba Fitness instructor & World of Dance U-Jam Fitness instructor. Both of these fitness formats serve as her physical and rehabilitative therapy. Originally from New York, Megan received her Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in biology from Fairfield University. She published the journey of her TBI recovery, Hope Survives: Strength After A Traumatic Brain Injury. Prior to her accident, she was an English teacher for high school & a college admissions counselor. With a passion for teaching and community outreach, she is dedicated to active with the San Diego Brain Injury Foundation. Megan's goal is to speak in schools about brain injury, acceptance, resilience & perseverance. Megan and her husband, Bob, visit family on the East Coast but are settled in sunny San Diego cheering on the Padres!

My name is Janice, and I am a volunteer for PSN. I have been a bedside nurse for 32 years. I also have been married for 26 years and have 4 beautiful and successful adult children, 2 of each. During my downtime, I enjoy going for walks, working on my yard or hanging out with my family. I enjoy helping others and thought that it would be nice to give back, being that so much has been given to me. This is why I love being part of this wonderful organization.

She enjoys swimming, biking, reading and playing tabletop board games with friends and family. Sarah became involved with Peer Support Network through a mutual client in 2020 and has been helping to grow our community ever since!

Amy is a healthcare administrator who is passionate about creating change for those in need. Amy lives in San Diego with her daughter and provides care for her aging parents. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking. Amy became involved with Peer Support Network through a mutual client in 2020. Since that time, she has taken an active role in ensuring that our clients are matched with the services and volunteers they need!
